First, I think the Cortana intro video is spooky!
I just installed the Windows 8.1 on the Nokia Lumia 1520. It’s a developer’s preview and should be available mainstream in the coming months. Let’s just say I’m enjoying the interface. Let’s hope I won’t be bored soon. Anyways, one of the new introductions is Cortana, the personal assistant for Nokia Lumia. By the way, if your location is not set to US, you won’t be able to access Cortana. To change this, go to settings, region/language. Change to US and English(US) respectively. Restart your phone and then Cortana appears.
Cortana starts by introducing ‘herself’ and asking for your name and name pronunciation, your preferences, habits and leisure. Then you can ask away.
Having experienced Cortana, Siri and Google Now, I still prefer Google Now to the others because of the quick access, availability of data before you ask, etc. Cortana comes next in my list. Maybe because of the voice and the interface.
